Rich holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, a credential that required him to complete an approved education program, pass a rigorous exam, and meet strict experience standards. He continues to adhere to a professional Code of Ethics and meets annual continuing education requirements to stay updated on the latest financial planning strategies and trends.
Rich has built his career in financial services over the past three decades. He began his financial career at the CME Group (formerly CBOT) as an independent floor trader. Over time, he advanced to owning his own trading, brokerage, and clearing firm. In 2010, after years of advising CME clients on long-term wealth strategies, he joined Wells Fargo Advisors. And in 2022, joined practices with Robert Weis to create Center Coast Private Wealth Management.
A dual-degree holder in Finance and Management from Ohio University School of Business, Rich was a scholarship athlete and the starting center for the MAC Conference Champion and NCAA Tournament basketball teams. His athletic journey continued as he played professional basketball before beginning his finance career.
In his downtime, Rich enjoys traveling with his wife, Mary Roxanne, and is a dedicated supporter of her work on the Auxiliary Board of The Ross K. MacNeill Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research. Rich maintains an active lifestyle, beginning each day with a 5 am workout, playing paddle tennis several times a week, and savoring moments of relaxation on the beach with a good book and a cold beverage.
Rich and Mary Roxanne reside in Lake Bluff with their dog Oliver, an Australian Shepherd / Poodle mix.
